Early December

Sorry for he gap in posts. I really like to post when I have good pictures to share, and I haven't taken too many recently. I figure I will just post the ones I have.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We went to my Uncle Paul's and Aunt Kathy's where they had a ton of really good food. We had a second Thnksgiving on Black Friday with the Wothe family. We are so incredibly blessed to have so many good friends and family to share the holidays with.

Quinn is up to all sorts of things. I think it is safe to say he has entered his terrible twos even though he isn't 21 months yet. In He is testing us with tantrums aplenty, but then he will immediately follow them with something cute or sweet or something that dissolves my frustrations over his tantrum. He knows some colors, shapes, and he can count to 10. He will point to a word and say ABC's which means he wants you to spell out the letters. He loves tractors, trucks, and busses, stories, flashlights and Elmo.  I am so excited for this Christmas because I think Quinn will finally understand how to open presents. Holidays are so much more fun with little kids.

The other day Daxton was fussing while he was trying to fall asleep. Quinn jumped up on the couch next to us. While patting Daxton's leg, Quinn repeated, "Baby's mad, baby's mad." He was trying to comfort him while he was fussing!

A little bit after that I was making oatmeal in the kitchen while holding Daxton. Like always, Daxton was sucking on his hand while drooling everywhere. Quinn was in the living room and looked over at us. He pointed at us while saying, "Drool, drool!" Then he ran into the bedroom, got into the baby's dresser, then ran over and brought me a burp rag. I didn't even ask him or say anything about it. He noticed on his own. I have such a sweet little babe!

Daxton is still my big, sensitive boy. He weighed 19 lbs two weeks ago! He loves a good snuggle and will drift off to sleep without much of a fuss. He has big blue eyes and the most handsome smile. He is learning all the things his hands can do like pulling hair, grabbing at my food, and bringing objects to his mouth. He has rolled a couple times, but it has not become a regular thing yet. Daxton seems to be a permanent attachment to my hip. I am always holding him since he still doesn't like to be put down. That wouldn't be a problem except for oh yeah, he's 19 lbs and growing! Daxton loves to watch Quinn and will laugh at him while he's constantly bouncing around in front of us.

Christian is working his first 8 hour shift tonight after about two months of over time. It will be nice to have him home sooner! His hair is getting really long, and I'm not exactly sure what he plans on doing with it when it gets longer. He says it's in the awkward stage right now and he will be able to do something with it when it's longer. Christian is the best dad and is so patient with little Quinner.

I am doing a lot of baking. It's funny how much your idea of "fun" changes when you have a family. I would love a big chest freezer in the garage to fill with a variety of cookies, breads, muffins, meat, and freezer meals. I would also love top of the line cleaning supplies because I feel like that would make cleaning the house that much more fun. However, until that day comes we will just have to make do by eating all of the cookies I make since we don't have the freezer space. Poor us!
