Pomp and Circumstance

Finally! After five grueling years of schooling I have graduated from Brigham Young University with my bachelors in exercise and wellness. I really didn't think I was going to make it through those last three weeks after having Quinn and I would drop out just a few credits away, but I managed to finish. Christian and my mom are the ones who made it possible for me to get through those last couple weeks. I don't think I would have done it without them.

It still hasn't hit me yet, but I think I can get used to a life with no more homework and tests and humanities. I look forward to spending my time taking care of my baby and my husband and soaking in the fact that I actually have my bachelors degree.

Elder L. Tom Perry from the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles was the speaker at my commencement ceremony. The Apostles rotate who gets to speak at the BYU graduation ceremony every year. Any Apostle would be great, but I know Sally would be especially jealous to know that we got to hear Elder Perry speak at mine.

Can you tell that Christian and Derek are brothers? These two can't help but wear matching clothes everywhere we go.

I am new to this blogging thing, but I would like to have a way to share our new experiences of being parents with our friends and family all over the country. I would also like any easier way to show off baby Quinn to everyone who is not living out here in Utah. So with my new found freedom from school I have time to attempt to blog. Enjoy!

Quinn Robert Steadman (aka Baby Bob, Baby Tornado, or as Marie likes to call him, Quinn Bob) was born on March 24, 2013 at 11:14 am. He weighed 7 lbs 4 oz. and was 20.5 inches long. He was born with dark brown hair and dark brown eyes and enough jaundice to give him a nice tan.

One of Quinn's favorite activities is chillin in his baby hot tub. He needs the relief it provides from the stresses of being a baby...eating, sleeping, and pooping can take a lot out of a little guy.

We discovered that a little time in the baby back pack will put Quinn right to sleep. Chris has it all, his baby boy, recliner, and x box...and everyone said being a new parent was hard ;)

Dad, you do realize there is a baby in that back pack?

We are taking a much needed nap up at grandma's house. Shopping for blessing outfits is exhausting!
